Bob Bogie

 
Bob Bogie LLB GAICD
Principal/Solicitor

Bob Bogie has extensive experience as a solicitor in Queensland and in Scotland and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). 
 
Bob served as Chairman of the local PCYC board for some 14 years and then as a Director of Queensland PCYC.   Bob also served as Deputy Chair of GW3 (Greater Whitsunday Alliance), the regional development board.  In addition, he was the Chairman of the Proserpine Chamber of Commerce for 3 years.  He has extensive business experience and a particular interest in youth and community development.             
                   
Bob takes a professional approach to all of his work, voluntary and business, and has a strong understanding of the current economy as well as general matters affecting all demographics across Australia. He takes a realistic approach to his work and is able to combine the law with the practicalities of any client matter.
                   
Having personally trained all of his staff, Bob has built a team which is also able to provide a high level of service and skill.



  
Kim Porter B BUS
Paralegal & Practice Manager
 
Kim Porter commenced work with Bogie & Co in May of 2015 as a legal assistant. With a Bachelor of Business degree together with her studies toward her Masters in Accounting, Kim has gained experience in business administration and management with various organisations.  She worked in an administrative capacity with the Port of Brisbane Corporation within their operational and logistics team whilst studying.  On completion of her studies she was engaged as a Project Officer with the Department of Primary Industries where she was responsible for delivering and preparing workshops on business planning and marketing for producers in the cattle and grain sectors. Relocating to Roma, Queensland in 2001 Kim worked as an accountant with an agricultural accountancy practice.  In 2007 Kim relocated to Proserpine where she now lives with her husband and 3 boys.
                   
Kim was appointed to the role of Paralegal and Practice Manager in 2018, managing accounts and administration for the office, supervising staff and providing legal assistance. Kim’s experience is in the areas of conveyancing, leasing, family law, wills and probate procedures and she is responsible for all aspects of deceased estate administration.


  
Nikaela Large
Paralegal & Law Student
 
Nikaela Large started working for Bogie & Co when she graduated year 12 in 2015.  During her first year she completed her Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal).  Nikaela is currently in her third year at university studying externally towards her Bachelor of Laws honours degree through Queensland University of Technology. 
                   
Having started as a receptionist, Nikaela has now progressed to handling all conveyancing and property matters under the supervision of Bob Bogie.  She also provides legal assistance in leasing matters, preparation of wills and powers of attorney, as well as undertaking legal research.




 
Shaylah Brett
Legal Administrative Assistant
  
Shaylah Brett joined Bogie & Co in 2019 after graduating high school. She is currently completing her Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal).  Shaylah is our receptionist, as well as assisting with agency and conveyancing matters.
